Weather and Climate
Great thanks to the WellKind Garden program for funding a mini-grant to construct a new weather station in our garden. This fall our fifth graders will learn about weather as they install the weather station. Students will then use the various instruments to measure and track the daily weather rhythms in our garden adding to our understanding of trends at our local level.

Cut Flower Garden
Each spring the fifth grade class plans and plants a cut flower garden. They use their math skills to determine how many flowers to plant in a space, seed a variety of flowers, and transplant them into the garden. Over the summer the fifth grade flowers yield vibrant bouquets for use at school events.
